The little Mermaid

Right in the middle of the scenic Copenhagen harbour front, at Langelinie where the cruise liners anchor up, you will find The Little Mermaid. The sculpture was built by Edvard Eriksen using his wife as model. On August 1913 the Little Mermaid was placed on its present location by the harbour front. It is now one of the most beloved and popular tourist attractions in Copenhagen. We suggest you do like the locals; take an evening stroll along the harbour with an icecream cone in your hand and watch the little mermaid as the sun sets.
